Gallery Assistant (Hourly)
The M seeks Gallery Assistants to circulate through our galleries and public spaces, greeting and acknowledging visitors while protecting artworks. Gallery Assistants provide information or directions, enforce visitor guidelines and assure safety, as well as perform procedural duties as required. Hours: Variable based upon availability and museum schedule, minimum of 10 hours a week; wage is $12.50 per hour. The position will remain open until filled. We have immediate openings, and are also looking to maintain a pool of applicants for special events.
Volunteer @ the M: Volunteers are vital to the M. They help oversee all aspects of visitor experience: enthusiastically welcome all who come to the museum and help them make the most of their visit. The M’s volunteers assist at special events, share information about upcoming programs, help resident artists at our Center for Creativity and with the sale of merchandise. Volunteering at the M requires no previous experience – you only need a desire to learn more about art and be eager provide excellent customer service and a warm welcome to all who visit the M!
