The M After Hours
Thursday, July 6, 6 – 9 p.m.
Minnesota Museum of American Art
Raise a glass, listen to live music, browse upcycled products, and make art with artist David Hamlow
Artist David Hamlow will help visitors to create sculptural pieces like his own, in art-making activities using recycled consumer packaging. Enjoy beer tastings courtesy of 12welve Eyes Brewing, and browse the ingenious upcycled totes and bags made of repurposed vinyl from billboards and marketing banners, created by the mother-daughter team behind Relan. The evening will also feature live musical performance by singer/songwriter Millie Gibson and a cash bar.
This event is related to the M’s ongoing exhibit, David Hamlow: Mirror Stage, on view through July 30, 2017. Tickets to this event are $10 (available here); a drink ticket is included with the price of admission to the event. All proceeds go towards support of the M and its programs.
