The M Off-Site: Arts in the Park
Saturday, August 3, 1 – 4 p.m. | Free and open to the public
Arts in the Park | Thompson County Park
360 Butler Avenue East, West St. Paul, MN
Environmental Relief Project
The M is heading to Arts in the Park with artist-designed, family-friendly activity by Dana LeMoine. Come out and join us! There will be music performances, hands-on art stations, and lots of ways to find out about local arts organizations. At the M’s station, artist Dana LeMoine will create a variety of nature-themed relief blocks you can print on fabric flags. Learn how to ink and print the blocks by hand, and then take your finished flags home as a reminder of the impact of nature on our lives.
Originally from Wisconsin, LeMoine’s work focuses on printmaking and artist books. She previously worked as the Education and Community Programs Manager at Highpoint Center for Printmaking and has also taught locally at Minnesota Center for Book Arts, Walker Art Center, Minnesota Museum of American Art, and the Waseca Art Center. LeMoine currently teaches printmaking and letterpress through Continuing Education at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She has exhibited her work nationally and in Australia and was the recipient of the 2016 Jerome Book Arts Fellowship.
