Drawing: Portraiture

Cost: $45 ($35 for M members)
This is a single-session class.
Create more realistic likenesses in portrait drawing by learning the basics of facial proportion. This session will include an overview of the skull and how it forms the structure of the face, as well as tips for drawing all facial features. All experience levels welcome.

Teaching artist Megan Vossler received her BA from Brown University (Rhode Island), and her MFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her artwork has been exhibited nationwide and she is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including a Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists and a McKnight Artists Fellowship for Visual Artists. Her project, Ekphrastic 2.0: A Collaborative Storytelling Experiment, was one of three projects at Soo Visual Arts Center to receive a 2017 National Endowment for the Arts “Art Works” grant. Vossler teaches drawing at Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN.
