Share your stories, mementos, and photos from the time Gordon Parks spent in the Twin Cities, and help shape an exhibition at the M honoring his legacy in our communities.

Have a story, photograph, or memento to share about the time Gordon Parks spent in the Twin Cities? Join us at the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center to share your photos, stories, and memories of Gordon Parks in the Twin Cities! Drop in any time between 10am and 2pm, enjoy refreshments from Golden Thyme, and connect with fellow community members while gathering mementos that will shape an upcoming exhibition honoring Parks’s artistic and social contributions in Minnesota.

Curator Robin Hickman-Winfield, Dr. Catherine Squires, and staff from the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center, and staff from the M will make digital copies of photographs and other memorabilia that you are willing to share. They will also be recording any stories you have about Gordon Parks, his photography studio, or his time in the Twin Cities – recordings can be used in the exhibit and the Hallie Q. Brown Community Archive!
