Serita Colette, Jessica Lopez Lyman, and Junauda Petrus in Futuristic Moves

Saturday, March 18, 1 p.m.

Minnesota Museum of American Art
141 E. 4th Street | St. Paul, MN

This improvisational performance installation explores Black and Brown ancestral knowledge as a form of healing amidst collective practices of violence. The piece celebrates both our innate abilities to heal from such trauma and the act of bearing witness as itself a form of resistance.

The performance is related to the M’s ongoing exhibit, Ken Gonzales-Day: Shadowlands, on view through April 16, 2017. This program is free and open to the public.

The exhibition and its related programming are supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, Minnesota State Arts Board, and the City of St. Paul’s Cultural STAR program.
