Opening reception: David Hamlow: Mirror Stage

Thursday, May 25, 7 – 9 p.m.
Minnesota Museum of American Art

David Hamlow’s Mirror Stage is a massive installation that includes paintings, found-object sculptures, and geodesic structures made of upcycled paper and plastics donated by residents of the Pioneer Endicott building. This is an ongoing body of work drawing on the artist’s knowledge of psychoanalysis and theories of self-awareness, which scrutinizes our collective impact on the environment by illustrating the massive amounts of waste we produce each day.

David Hamlow: Mirror Stage will be on view May 25 – July 30, 2017. The exhibition and all related programs are free and open to the public.
