Partners in Action: A Community Exhibition
On View: October 3 – 27, 2019
Help celebrate the opening of a showcase of community-made work. This exhibition is the culmination of a months-long creative partnership of the M with several local organizations and their communities, working with M teaching artists Witt Siasoco (at Createch, a program offered by St. Paul Public Libraries), Nicole M. Smith and Larry Waddell (at Hallie Q. Brown Community Center), and Hlee Lee-Kron (with Hmong Museum at Hmong Elders Center).
With support from a Minnesota State Arts Board Arts Access grant, the M partnered with four St. Paul organizations to build relationships with specific communities through artist residencies that centered on reciprocity, social interaction, creativity, and cultural responsiveness. Come see the wonderful art that emerged from their work together!
