This is a three-part class.

Illustrated type is hand-rendered typography or letterforms. Create illustrations with typography using mixed media techniques like drawing, painting, block-printing, and collage. Learn more about different styles of type, color choice, and composition. Explore how design choices can be informed by the language of our stories and cultural surroundings. You’ll receive demonstrations, individual instruction, and group critiques. Some materials will be provided; a materials list will be emailed to the class participants prior to the start date. All experience levels are welcome.

Scholarships are available on request on a first come, first served basis. Classes are always free at the M for Native community members. Contact info@mmaa.org or call (651) 797-2571 for more information.
